Blue-collar workers and foodies line up at the counter for double-dough pizza, sandwiches of imported Italian meats and cheeses, and creamy house-made gelato and ices. A corner-store feel pervades, thanks to an old tin ceiling and shelves stocked with elegant foodstuffs. Those in the know stop by during the summer for picnic-perfect antipasto salad, or anytime for dinner morsels like gorgonzola-stuffed tortellini, fresh-baked bread and savory marinara. An adjacent enclosed sunroom offers space for eating in.

The Best!

Freddy's Pizza is the best food place, bar none, I have ever been to! This place has even better food than many little shops in Italy. I can't even think of what to recommend, because everything is superb. Almost everything is homemade, and the atmosphere makes you feel as if you were in Italy. If you don't go to Freddy's before you die, you are missing out... BIG TIME!

Just like in the old neighborhood

Freddy's is family-run and handmade all the way. The fresh tomato & garlic square pan is great! This is a deli with a heart - you can dine al fresco or take it home, but be sure to get some gelato to finish off your meal. Try the fried artichoke hearts, the arancini and the spinach suppli as well! Homemade salads are great - roasted peppers, seafood, eggplant are all good!

Freddy's  Pizza, Lasagna, Sandwiches, Italian Lemonade,
Gelato, a Deli with class and taste.  Freddy's has an incredible
selection of foods.  There is  always a line of people to get the
best Italian deli food this side of Rome.  We had some cuddle fish
the other day and it was delicious.  I have never had anything at
Freddy's that I was not ready to brag about.  On 16th Street
and several blocks East of Ridgeland (or a couple of blocks
